THE GOVERNMENTAL PROGRAMMING OF YOUR CHILDREN: WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

The Global Children's Initiative from Harvard University is pretty cut and dry. This initiative seems to be drafted by some ex-military advisers that claim that the only way that the children of tomorrow will succeed will be by more and more behavior modifications in the classrooms so that they are completely submissive to the teachers demands. I have cut and pasted some of the article here to view if you want more info go to the main website at:http://developingchild.harvard.edu/index.php/activities/global_initiative/ I don't like this initiative at all granted the fact that some of the ideas are good, they are still invading the peace of mind a teacher and parent have in regulating what that particular child wants to learn. It's none of the governments business what goes on at home when it comes to cognitive development if it is giving a positive impact on that child's life. Now we see what goes on in the minds of children these days. They can be the smartest one's on the block and still act like some class "A" fools. Why is this, it's what they are programmed with when we are hard at work and in the field working for the government. Our homes already have been invaded if you want to go there with this issued and they government has the nerve to say that they want to leave policy making to the "big" thinkers as if we are stupid and don't know what is best for our own kids. You talk about a slap in the face and an insult to your intelligence. Read this article and you will see how much of a fool you are being played for...

FORTUNE 500 OR SLAVERY

My blog address is www.thewisdomcorner.blogspot.com I posted to my blog in reference to the website by the United States Chamber of Commerce. Did you know the chamber of commerce looks at your child as a relative investment to keep the interest of Fortune 500 companies? If not you may want to go to http://icw.uschamber.com, and http://www.rand.org/pubs/research briefs/ 2008/RAND RB9352.pdf to find out more. I was asked to post several statements regarding these views and I found that all of them were in the interest of these corporations that look at us as financial cash cows and plan to take over our education system and what is being taught in our classrooms. It seems to be a plan to include your child as an incentive for “big business”. There are some that feel that it can help with the job situation that we are facing here in the America’s but in my personal and professional opinion, I think we are just economical slaves and no one cares to change that frame of thinking. There are some that are so comfortable with this way of thinking, that they don’t see how upsetting it is to the balance. If we let big business take over our classrooms, there is no more music, there is no more art, there is no more humanity, there is only business. And we already can see what that can lead us. Corporations running away with our hard earned dollars to escape prosecution by the United States Governments. These corporations already use off shore accounts to hide the money they steal and say it was all just a clerical error. So when your child doesn’t get picked to get the benefits they need when a heart transplant is needed. We turn to “John Q” and hold the hospital hostage until the corporation changes its policies. Can it go this far? Yes if American’s get desperate enough for change…

What's really goin on in our country?

I recently looked at a classmates posting about poverty and the most disturbing thing is that China is coming up like a whirlwind. Their poor are becoming richer and you would think that because they are communist, they would be poor. But hey, they are a billion strong and they control what is going on in their government and the people seem very happy to be a part of it. I had a dream of going to China and living there because I love the culture not as much as my own, but since they have admitted that they come from African decent makes me proud to know that there are people out there that may not care about what they see in this day and age but they give honor to their ancestors...

Why men get no respect!

I was in meditation the other day and the thought crossed my mind again why men don't get no respect and why the women are so tired of them. I can see it clearly; its because the man has been thinking with his lower self for so long he no longer realized that his other head is functioning. It goes the same way for women. But I will lay this on you. Over the centuries the debate about women is this. Why should men listen to women, they are docile creatures that are full of envy and jealousy. They no not the affairs of men because they are not men. These are the statements of homosexuals if you ask me and when I hear women say these things about men it makes me nervous about them too. The bashing of the sexes is stupid and old and we all need to shut up and just listen to each other. Man, seriously the women created you and you have right to disrespect her at all. Her power is in her name all in itself. Womb-man; from the womb becomes man. Not the other way around. Get it right! And you women that don't respect your womb, need to get a reality check as well. Don't complain your life isn't good because men don't treat you right. Get this, as long as you open your womb to a man in the context that you do, he will never respect what you are thinking and what you have to say. I tell this to my daughter now that she is smelling herself and thinks she knows better then me or her mother. Men have no right to come down on a women because she can bring life in the world and take it without consequence in the eyes of God because God created her so she could create man. You women have forgotten that when in the zygomatic stage of development there is no sex and once that energy is established there are two sexes just like God and what ever that person's destiny is, chooses the sex. It's not just a chromosome, science has made us all neglect what the truth really is. We are all one and we have no right to separate ourselves the way we do...God has no sex so what makes people think it's a man? God is not a woman, so what makes people think that it is a woman? God is it...that's all; nothing else. So all this negativity about the sexes is really ridiculous... GET OVER THE SEX AND LIVE...

Childhood Connections to Play “Play is recreation, amusement, or fun. Even more says Jeanne Bassis, founder of PlayReflections® (www.PlayReflections.com) who offers “playshops” for adults, “Play is not just about doing, it’s about being. Play is a state of grace, innocence, wonder and creativity... and happens when anyone is truly living in the present tense.” (http://www.earlychildhoodnews.com/earlychildhood/article_view.aspx?ArticleID=591) “Play is often described as a time when we feel most alive, yet we often take it for granted and may completely forget about it. But play isn't a luxury - it's a necessity. Play is as important to our physical and mental health as getting enough sleep, eating well, and exercising. Play teaches us how to manage and transform our "negative" emotions and experiences. It supercharges learning, helps us relieve stress, and connects us to others and the world around us. Play can also make work more productive and pleasurable.” (http://www.helpguide.org/life/creative_play_fun_games.htm) The last quote that I took from the helpguide.org is very helpful to those what are wondering what is play about and how to be more like a kid themselves. I was once told that having fun keeps the spirit young and alive. We often wish that we were young again so we can relive some of our childhood experiences; and maybe even change them. But the fact remains is that children have to play to exert their creativity and expand their minds. I ask the question, have you really had fun with your kids today? I mean really get down and dirty with them in the mud or just running around the house with water-guns? Maybe even getting involved with them building a club house? You don’t really know what your child is thinking until you get down on their level and let them show you how to have fun in their world. When I was working in daycare, I often took the kids on an imaginary tour and let them be the hosts of what to do. For example, I would tell all the kids to sit in a circle and put their thumbs up and who ever I put the thumb down to would be the one to take us on the tour. It was a spinoff of the game “thumbs up” able to play until we got tire and wanted to come inside. It is sad that the play that we see today comes from an electronic device geared to distract the mind instead of facilitating growth. There are too many distractions that children come up against because we adults want to control everything instead of just being happy and free spirited. We don’t act out of love anymore, we act out of fear and self-ridicule. We force our childhood expectations on our children instead of them making up in their minds what they want to do. As long as they have a realistic picture of the outcome of their actions, then they will be fine in my opinion. I can’t use myself for an example because my time of a child is over, as much as I would love to be playful and have fun all day; society doesn’t allow fun any longer without strict rules and sanctions. When I was a child, we played kickball, now kids have to take tests all day. When I was a kid, I had friends, now kids have conversations about who is having sex at the age of 8. This is only because of what we are allowing them to see and hear. We ‘real’ parents that want the best for our kids let them play how they want to play as long as it is constructive and productive. We just don’t let our kids run wild and crazy! I teach my kids to love who they are no matter if they will have friends or acquaintances. According to NIU Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management/ Campus Child Care; “From birth to adolescence, constructive play is vital to most aspects of children's intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development. Consequently, play prepares children for academic learning - as they begin their school years and at each step along the way. Ultimately, play prepares children for rewarding adult lives. Many experts believe that adult personality may very well have its foundation in the play of the child. "Through constructive play, children expand their intelligence - their knowledge and understanding of the world around them. Play is a testing ground for language and reasoning skills - a laboratory for learning to connect to challenges children face in school, such as literacy, math, and science concepts. Constructive play stimulates the imagination - encouraging creative problem solving and providing opportunities for accomplishments that help children develop confidence, self-esteem, a sense of their own strengths and weaknesses, and a positive attitude toward learning.” http://www.niu.edu/ccc/curriculum/play_learning.shtml There were some differences between the kind of play that we are talking about and the childhood play that should be administered in child educational centers. The differences in most instances when it comes to play and learning; the adults were not involved in the discoveries that were being uncovered amongst children verses the supervision that comes with a childhood educational center. Under supervision children have limitations to what children are allowed to see and converse among themselves because of censorship and so forth. When they are on their own, they mimic what the adults are most likely to demonstrate when in a social setting. For example, in a social setting, the parents are the ones that are facilitating cognitive stimulation, and when the children are in an educational setting, it is geared to coach the children to think for them-selves and problem-solve at the same time while at play. The point I am trying to make is that children play because it is their release to the stress of their everyday lives. They play to love, laugh, and to live. They play because they have the right to be free spirited and be who they want to be without corruption…

Relationship Reflections

What is in a relationship? There is so much confusion about what this term means. Re-la-tion-ship: n. 1. The condition or fact of being related; connection or association. 2. Connection by blood or marriage; kinship. 3. A particular type of connection existing between people related to or having dealing with each other: 4. A romantic or sexual involvement. In this definition of relationship it states that there are similarities that tie two or more people together in some way or fashion. The problem I am having with this is no matter how my people have tried to related and be on the same page of existence with the rest of the world. We are still seen as the minority and less than human. The statement that Shonkoff & Philips made in 2004 is hypocritical to me. When I think about this statement it I can only come to the conclusion that he was speaking of his own people and not anyone else for the sake of education. If we are to have “healthy” building blocks in relationships, we need to first drop the definitions and intellectual misconceptions that all people are equal and will be treated in that fact. For example, all of my life I have been looked down upon because of someone else’s misconception of what it is to be a man of the African descent. How did these relationships form or develop? From propaganda and self-hatred being spread by those who don’t understand why they are not the same. We have programs that want to paint a picture that people are seriously trying to get along no matter what creed you come from but it is just not true at all. We see it in politics, we see it in our education, and we see it in our homes as well. The mind is a powerful instrument to control or condition to a person’s will. The point that I am trying to make is that in the definition of relationship, the point of having any kind of spiritual connection with every living thing has been taken out of understanding which leaves room for error on the human level of existence. How can you make a relationship withstand the test of time? Be honest in your findings of the individuals that you come in contact with and share those experiences without bias. We as humans fail to do this time and time again. That is why we don’t live in harmony with nature. For those of us who are trying to reestablish that connection or relationship; there are those who don’t want to see the change due to fear of the unknown and unseen. I have come to the conclusion that looking for the good in people will only lead me to be lying to myself that all humanity will change for the better. There are too many egos and the need to fulfill the egos need is more important than survival and being in harmony with nature so we can be as one and get along with one another. There are too many power struggles and the destruction of the spirit and mind is always in the forefront of the battle for peace. The only relationships that I hold dear are those in which there is not judgment because my brainwave patterns are different; the fact that I would rather look at the sky versus looking at a television. The fact that I see no difference between man and woman except for the fact that woman holds all the keys to existence in her womb and man seems to want to always destroy that connection. I have no faith in man because man has destroyed so much of this world and taken away most of what kept us in harmony with the universe. What would my life be without the relationships in which I speak of? I will leave that up to you to figure out. I have answered the questions that the instructor asked me to answer to the best of MY knowledge. To try to reflect on someone else’s beliefs and understanding will take away from my own experience. I hope you understand, I don’t see relationships with people, I see their spirit because that is what they are. As a childcare professional, dealing with children is to deal with the spirit in its purest form. Who would I be to taint that being the way most of the world has done already? My job is to protect and teach these special children how to protect themselves against that sort of corruption as well. Thank you…
